Co Clare-based Munstergroup Insurance has become the 19th Irish brokerage bought by growing insurance intermediary PIB Group Ltd.

Today's deal brings the total number of businesses already purchased by Campion this year to nine.

In a statement, the company said today's announcement highlights Campion's strategy to expand its footprint and offering in Ireland. Michael Henchy, the new boss of Munstergroup Insurance said, today's announcement is great news for its clients and team. Jim Campion, CEO of Campion Insurance, said the Munstergroup Insurance business was highly sought after.
