Its minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said vehicle owners must ensure that their vehicle has insurance coverage that is valid during the movement control order period.
Dr Wee said that this was following consultation with the General Insurance Association of Malaysia and Takaful industry on how to ease the public’s burden during the MCO. “This allowance is only valid for the MCO period. People are to collect their CDL card or LKM sticker as soon as the MCO period is over, ” he said.The agencies include the Road Transport Department , the Land Public Transport Agency, the Vehicle Licensing Board in Sabah and Sarawak, as well as JPJ services at post offices.“This is to ensure the effectiveness of the MCO which is to break the chain of transmission of the Covid-19 virus, ” he said.
