THE Philippine Health Insurance Corporation continues to gradually reopen its system, a week after falling victim to Medusa ransomware attacks.

In a brief statement, PhilHealth said its e-Claims system already went back online on late Friday, September 29, 2023.The state-run health insurer said they even had transactions recorded in the system shortly after it went back online. "It was validated late today that there were claims already submitted through the e-Claims," said the agency.

The e-Claims system enables accredited health facilities to transmit their claims electronically to PhilHealth. On early Friday, PhilHealth announced that its Corporate Website and Member Portal have already resumed operations. This forced PhilHealth to shut down its entire system upon the advice of the Department of Information and Communication Technology.SunStar website welcomes friendly debate, but comments posted on this site do not necessarily reflect the views of the SunStar management and its affiliates.
