Work out your higher take-home pay ahead of the changes to National Insurance Contributions on April 6.

Millions of workers will receive a boost in their take-home pay from this weekend when the main rate of class 1 National Insurance deductions will be cut from 10 per cent to 8 per cent. The change on April 6 follows on from the cut at the start of the new year when NI deductions dropped from 12 per cent to 10 per cent.

Commenting on the NI cuts, Lily Megson, Policy Director at My Pension Expert, said: “There will be millions of people across the UK celebrating the NI cuts. Around 27 million of them, in fact.
