Taoiseach Simon Harris has made a commitment to make sure our roads are safer, and so, Gary proposes that he makes it a rule for new and not-so-experienced drivers to have telematics devices in their cars for the first two years

With road deaths across Ireland gripping the headlines, and road traffic collision figures showing that the number of road deaths in 2023 increased by 19% compared to 2022, road users and experts alike are calling for solutions.

Gary, who's company operates online insurance brands GetSetGo and its4women, emphasised the urgent need for proactive measures to address this concerning trend. "Nearly one in three people killed on Irish roads since the start of the year were aged between 16 and 25.” "Our experience clearly demonstrates that telematics can save lives. By monitoring new drivers' behaviour on the road, we can significantly reduce accident rates and prevent fatalities," he said.
