Car insurance is a legal necessity for drivers, and while prices have fallen by 4% in the last year, prices are still higher on average they then were last year. And unfortunately the burden of these high costs falls disproportionately on young drivers, with 17 year olds paying the most.
Confused.com found that in a survey of 2,000 drivers, 75% reported that their renewal quote had increased, with an average rise of £94. The comparison site also discovered that 45% of those quoted a higher renewal price could save £90 by shopping around for a better deal.
