Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said those concerned must however ensure that their vehicles have insurance that covers the entire duration of the MCO period – until March 31.
“This allowance is only valid for the MCO period. Members of the public are to collect their CDL card or LKM sticker as soon as the MCO period is over,” Dr Wee said in a statement yesterday.The agencies include the Road Transport Department , Land Public Transport Agency, Vehicle Licensing Board in Sabah and Sarawak, as well as JPJ services at post offices.
He said the decision was made following consultation with the General Insurance Association of Malaysia and the Takaful industry on how to ease the people’s burden during the MCO period. “This is to ensure the effectiveness of the MCO which is to break the chain of transmission of Covid-19,” he said.
